In the early morning hours of March 28, 2011, the Russian Air-Force swept into an area known as Upper Alkun in Ingushetia (close to North Ossetia), to take out a Chechen/Ingush rebel base that was located in the woods.
The Russian air attack was successful in destroying the base and killing atleast 16 militants.
